Transfer Pathway

Students completing an eligible KCTCS associate degree with at least a 2.0 GPA can enter the BA Theater Design and Technology pathway with three of Transylvania's five general-education areas satisfied. Design and technology major requirements and any optional Fine Arts Scholarship portfolio interview remain separate.

Audition Process

Admission to the BA Theater Design and Technology major is through Transylvania's university application

No separate program audition or portfolio review is published for major admission

Design and Technology scholarship applicants submit a theater portfolio for review

Portfolio review and interview requirements are separate from admission requirements

Scholarship Info

Fine Arts Scholarship

Incoming first-year students may compete for annual Fine Arts Scholarship awards of $3,000, $4,000, or $5,000

Design and Technology applicants provide a portfolio of theater experience for scholarship review

Awards may be combined with academic scholarships

Theater scholarship recipients enroll in Technical Theater in their first term and Theater Practicum during fall and winter terms
