Training
•The 102–106-credit BA combines private or group studio study, a senior recital, music theory and analysis, conducting, music technology, instrumental techniques, and elementary and secondary music-education coursework
•Students complete a 30-credit Secondary Education Core covering literacy, curriculum, exceptional learners, diverse classrooms, and developmental psychology
•The program culminates in a semester of full-time student teaching at a local school plus a student-teaching seminar
Performance & Productions
•Six ensemble credits may include Wind Ensemble and Marching Band, Chorale, Vocal Jazz Ensemble, Sinfonia, Jam Lab, Musical Theatre and Opera Workshop, Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Chamber Singers, or Chamber Music

•Pedagogy options in strings, choral music, or band connect conducting and classroom methods to the student's teaching area
