•Coursework spans acting technique, directing, voice and movement, script analysis, and theatre history alongside design and tech fundamentals
•Mixed-major department (acting/directing and technical/design students train side by side), giving directors direct collaboration with designers and crews
Performance & Productions
•Recent seasons include Our Town, The Winter's Tale, POTUS, and an original devised work, exposing actors and directors to classical, contemporary, and new-work repertoire
Professional Development
•Prepares graduates for careers in professional and educational theatre and for graduate study (the department also offers an MA in Drama)
Facilities
•Season staged in the Redbud Theater Complex, a 19,000-square-foot facility built in 2007; the ~100-seat Redbud Theater is the primary production venue
