Audition Requirements

Songs

Two Contrasting Song Cuts, 32 Bars Max Each

At least one from the musical theatre canon

Second selection may be musical theatre, pop, rock, country, R&B, operetta, or any other contrasting style

Should showcase the prospective student's range and abilities

Monologues

One short contemporary monologue, up to 90 sec

Audition Expectations

In-person auditions preferred; virtual auditions permitted

Brief interview follows the audition to discuss interests and goals

Post-Enrollment

Musical Theatre applicants are automatically placed in Fundamentals of Music

Students with prior theory/aural skills coursework may opt in for a placement exam on their Acceptd application

Dance assessment is held prior to the start of classes (not at the audition)
