•Bullet: The 21-credit Jazz Studies minor includes Theory I and II, Jazz Improvisation I and II, Jazz Theory and Jazz History.
•Bullet: Applied Music adds individual study in the student’s performance area.
Performance & Productions
•Bullet: Students perform in Jazz Big Band or Jazz Ensemble Combo as part of the minor.
Degree Flexibility
•Bullet: The minor is open to qualifying music and non-music majors; courses already used for a major are replaced with faculty-approved work of equal or greater rigor.
