Letters of Recommendation

•One reference form from a person qualified to evaluate dramatic media competence

Portfolio

•Technicians/designers: bring design portfolio materials if available

•Digital artists: prepare a portfolio through a digital file or link

What's The Process

Scholarship Audition

•Scholarship applicants complete an audition and personal interview in person, or a virtual interview plus recorded submission.

•Performers prepare a 2-5 minute performance; technicians/designers, writers, and digital artists present the applicable portfolio or work sample.

•The official page still lists November 22, 2025 and February 16, March 28, April 11, and May 17, 2026. New-cycle dates are not yet published.

Scholarship Info

Jones Audition Scholarship

•Up to $7,500/yr for students intending to pursue a baccalaureate degree in dramatic media

•Based on audition and interview

•Renewable up to three additional years

Performance Awards

•Up to $3,000/yr for non-majors participating in dramatic media performance ensembles

•Based on audition and interview

Renewal

•Maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA and required dramatic media ensemble/lab participation

•Awards are reviewed each semester by the department chair and financial aid director
