Audition Process
•Step 1: Apply and be admitted to Susquehanna University
•Step 2: Register for an audition via the River Hawk Portal
•Step 3: Audition on campus (preferred) or submit a video audition followed by a virtual interview
Audition Expectations
•Performance on your primary instrument or voice (repertoire depends on your area — see the audition and scholarship brochure)
•Keyboard skills placement exam, musicianship assessment, and music theory test (placement diagnostics)
Interview
•Interview with a music education faculty member to explore degree requirements and discuss career goals
•Candidates should demonstrate strong listening skills, the ability to clearly express ideas, enthusiasm for the profession, and thoughts on the importance of music education for all children
Decisions
•Audition before April 1 for best scholarship consideration
•Audition spots filled on a first-come, first-served basis
