Personal statement detailing interest in studying theatre, training/experience, and post-college goals
Current resume
One letter of recommendation from a teacher familiar with your theatre work
-Must be in addition to any submitted with your general application
-Submitted directly from teacher or guidance office to Office of Admission and Enrollment

ACTING & PERFORMANCE (optional)

Digital video showcasing acting, singing, dancing, directing, or other talents
Must include a 2-minute monologue with entire body visible
Total video length must not exceed 4 minutes

DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY (optional)

Portfolio showcasing stage work and/or theatrical design
-Sets, costumes, lighting, scene painting, makeup, etc.
-Visual record from initial planning to final results (drawings, sketches, photographs)
If unable to provide a portfolio, describe crew experience and technical theatre roles

ADMISSION PROCESS

No audition or interview required for acceptance into the theatre program
Any student admitted to SUNY Oneonta may declare a Theatre major
Transfer students should contact the department for guidance on program path
