Resume

Artistic résumé (including any experiences relating to music, dance, visual art or theatre)

Upload your résumé at least two weeks before your scheduled interview

Introduction Video

A one-minute video of you speaking about your interests and career goals

Upload your introduction video at least two weeks before your scheduled interview

Portfolio

Portfolio work samples: at least two examples of recent work (from at least two of these three categories – not more than seven minutes total)

An audio recording you created of a live music performance

An audio or video recording of a song you wrote (any genre, must have lyrics)

A sample of work you created/produced using a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) such as Pro Tools, Logic, Garage Band, FL Studio, etc.

Upload all portfolio items at least two weeks before your scheduled interview

What's The Process

Audition Process

A faculty interview and portfolio review are required; a voice/instrumental audition is not required

Interview dates: Saturday, December 5, 2026; Saturday, January 23, 2027; Saturday, February 6, 2027; Saturday, February 20, 2027

Audition Registrations must be received at least two weeks prior to the audition date and will not be confirmed until all admissions materials have been received.

CAA portfolios should be submitted electronically a minimum of two weeks before an applicant’s scheduled audition date.

Virtual auditions: for non-musical theatre applicants who live more than 250 miles from campus, Shenandoah offers virtual auditions; if you believe you will need a virtual audition, reach out to your admissions counselor
