Training
•The Theatre minor uses theatre as a laboratory for examining how the humanities, sciences and other arts intersect within a liberal-arts education.
•Students develop artistic discipline in acting, directing and design while studying theatre history and dramatic literature.
Performance & Productions
•The theatre program collaborates with the School of Music on musical theatre productions. Mainstage and student-directed productions are open to SFA students regardless of major or classification.
•Student organizations include classical theatre, devised theatre, improv, multicultural ensemble, technical theatre and honor-society groups.
Degree Flexibility
•The minor is structured to complement a student's primary field, combining practical theatre work with historical and analytical study rather than duplicating the BFA concentration model.
