Admission Process
•Two-part process: apply to the School of Music via Acceptd AND apply to SFA separately
•On-campus audition of about 15 minutes, consisting of an instrument or voice performance plus an interview
•Admission decisions are not based solely on the performance portion
Performance Proficiency
•Demonstrate minimum proficiency on your performance area: two contrasting-style pieces or excerpts (all genres welcome)
•Vocalists match pitch and sing two contrasting styles (backing tracks acceptable)
•Instrumentalists demonstrate scales and reading appropriate to their instrument; drum set players show Latin, shuffle, swing, and rock feels with a metronome
Interview
•Interview with the sound recording technology faculty as part of the on-campus audition
