•Every SRT student is a full music major, completing music theory, music history, applied instrumental or vocal lessons, and ensemble participation alongside audio coursework
•Directed by James F. Adams, who previously engineered in Los Angeles as a technical producer for design/production firm Incite
•Curriculum philosophy is to give musicians a command of recording technology so they can engineer their own artistry, not just operate gear
Facilities
•Studio B (opened January 2024): SSL System T with an S500 64-fader, 4.5-bay console, A32 and dual SB i16 SuperAnalogue interfaces, plus a Rupert Neve Designs 5088 console
•Studio B control room (~400 sq ft) with attached ~500 sq ft live room and iso booth, monitored in Focal 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos immersive sound over a Dante network
•Studio A is a fully analog tracking room
•Studios sit in the Griffith Fine Arts Building, with a planned live-broadcast path feeding the orchestra hall upstairs into the System T
