Requirements

•Two Contrasting Musical Theatre Song Cuts

•One must be from the Musical Theatre Golden Age (1930-1955)

•Total package cannot exceed three minutes (timed)

•Slate is not included in the time limit

•Must sing to musical accompaniment (no a cappella)

Monologues

Requirements

•One MONOLOGUE, 1 min max

•Contemporary or classical

•Not to exceed one minute

Dance

DANCE REEL (highly encouraged)

•Submit alongside audition package as supplemental material

•Not required but strongly recommended

•Resume of theatre accomplishments

Essay

•Cover letter with statement of goals for your time at SFA and beyond

Letters of Recommendation

•Two letters of recommendation from individuals familiar with your work

Admission Process

•All incoming theatre majors begin in the BA Theatre program

•BFA Musical Theatre admission requires a separate audition

•Total audition package: two songs + one monologue, max 3 minutes (timed)

•Rolling admissions with no application deadline
