PROGRAM RECOGNITION
Students enter work at the Region 1 Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival in acting, playwriting, design, stage management, and dramaturgy
TRAINING
Generalist BA covering performance, design/technology, directing, theatre history, dramatic literature, and dramaturgy
43-credit interdisciplinary major allows students to combine theatre with other disciplines
Student-centered program with direct one-on-one faculty mentorship
Faculty are both scholars and professional directors and designers
PERFORMANCE & PRODUCTIONS
Four fully staged productions per year plus a staged-reading series
Students can participate as actors, designers, technicians, directors, stage managers, puppeteers, and dramaturgs
Students involved in play selection, production meetings, and creative decision-making
LOCATION
Proximity to professional theatres in the New York North Country, Vermont, Montreal, and Ottawa
Access to community theatre and local arts organizations
STUDY ABROAD
Fall study-away course (THE 480) at the Stratford Festival in Ontario, Canada
