Entrance (Post-Enrollment)
•Audition on your principal instrument to enter the music major as a B.A. general music major
•Apply to the B.M. Music Education — Instrumental (K-12) program in the sophomore year (spring), with a separate Education Department application
•Complete application (due October 15 and March 15)
•Full academic review and a recital performance on the principal instrument
•Interview and planning session with the music education faculty
Continuance
•Reviewed for continuance generally in the junior year (second semester); students not approved are no longer in the Teacher Education Program
