Training
•BA Music curriculum divides evenly across music history, theory (including composition and conducting), and practical performance, including private studio lessons on the student's principal instrument or voice
•Coursework includes specialized electives such as jazz improvisation and MIDI/Audio production alongside required ensemble participation
•Program faculty include chair Dr. Les Sabina (Professor of Music), Laura Peterson (Associate Professor), and Brian Stevens (Visiting Professor, Director of Choral and Vocal Music)
Performance & Productions
•Ensemble opportunities include the Jazz Band, jazz ensemble The Septet, and the treble choir Vox Lusciniae
•Students perform in the annual "Jazz 'n' Wings" concert
•Campus hosts the Atlantic Brass Quintet Summer Seminar, an annual chamber-music program now in its 33rd year
