Repertoire List

Snare drum: one concert etude; a rudimental etude is optional; sight-reading required

Marimba or xylophone: one two-mallet solo or etude; a four-mallet work is optional; sight-reading required

Timpani, drum-set styles and improvisation, or hand-drum selections may be added

What's The Process

Three-Part Review

Perform two contrasting selections on the primary instrument or voice

Complete a basic skills assessment in sight singing, pitch matching, and rhythmic reading

Participate in a personal interview

In-person auditions are preferred; virtual auditions can be accommodated

Placement

Optional piano demonstration and the music-theory assessment are placement tools, not separate admission gates
