Training
•Bullet: Performance concentration builds toward six semesters of private lessons on a single instrument — voice, piano, strings, winds, brass, or percussion — alongside required group performance classes
•Bullet: An applied jury evaluates the student's major medium each semester, except during a semester with a required recital
•Bullet: Students who pass a Junior Recital (approximately 30 minutes) may continue private study toward a full Senior Recital of at least 50 minutes in the second semester of senior year
Performance & Productions
•Bullet: Ensemble options include the AUC Orchestra, Spelman Chamber Players, Glee Club, Chamber Singers, and the Contemporary Popular Music Ensemble
•Bullet: All music majors attend a weekly Music Seminar featuring student recitals, guest lectures, and workshops
