•18-credit minor requires Reading Film: Form, Genre, Culture and Reading Film II: Approaches to International Film from the Communication, Media, and Screen Studies department, plus the cross-listed English course Literature Into Film, with the remaining 9 credits chosen through advisement with the minor coordinator
•Coursework applies the department's screen-studies approach — examining film history, institutions, form, genre and representation, and how screen media shapes and reflects cultural values and social change — to complement a student's primary major in production, communication, writing or the arts
