•Music Performance specialization within the 55-credit BA Music core of applied lessons, ensembles, theory, musicianship, history and improvisation
•Specialization coursework includes a solo or chamber degree recital (MUS 400), advanced arranging (MUS 426), Improvisation in Contemporary Culture (MUS 330), and a dedicated Entrepreneurship for Musicians course (MUS 465)
Performance & Productions
•Performance-track students gravitate toward audition-based major ensembles such as the Jazz Standards Ensemble and Latin Jazz Ensemble, both led by David Chevan, alongside University Choir and Chamber Singers
•Free weekly private lessons through the Stutzman Family Foundation Applied Lessons Program are taught by working performers such as bassist Henry Lugo and classical vocalist Rebecca Barko, with a fall jury exam required of majors
