What's The Process

Audition Process

Admission is based on academic record (2.5 GPA minimum)

No audition, portfolio, or interview required for program admission

Admissions decision provided within a few days of completing the application

Scholarship Info

Performance Scholarship

Talent-based scholarships are available for theatre regardless of major.

Performance applicants submit two contrasting monologues OR a monologue and a musical theatre song selection; a full song is preferred and at least 18 bars are accepted.

Technical theatre applicants submit a digital technical theatre portfolio to ensembles@svu.edu.

Virtual auditions and portfolios are reviewed by a Southern Virginia professor.

Performance scholarship applications are due by the first day of classes.
