Training
•Bullet: Required courses are Diction I, Choral Literature, Vocal Pedagogy and Advanced Conducting at 3 credits each, plus a four-credit Internship/Practicum taken over four semesters at 1 unit each.
•Bullet: Advised by Ben Gaughran, Director of Choral Activities, who holds a DMA in Choral Conducting from the University of Michigan.
•Bullet: Open to BA Music majors.
Performance & Productions
•Bullet: Choral ensembles include Bella Voce, Men's Chorus, and the auditioned SATB Chamber Singers.
•Bullet: Chamber Singers and Concert Chorale sang at Carnegie Hall on March 18, 2019, in Manhattan Concert Productions' "The Road Home," including the world premiere of a commissioned piece and a 200-voice festival chorus.
•Bullet: Chamber Singers were selected as a featured performing ensemble at the Virginia Music Educators Association Fall Conference.
