Apply to SOU to receive the nine-digit student ID used in the music scholarship application

Applicants may begin the Acceptd application before adding the student ID later

Enrollment

SOU admission is rolling and the Fall 2027 university application is available

The music scholarship portal is currently closed and still displays 2026 deadlines; no Fall 2027 scholarship deadline is published

Transfer Pathway

SOU publishes music associate-degree paths from Rogue Community College and Umpqua Community College for the BS Music Industry and Production Studies program. Transfer work is evaluated within the production, business, and musicianship curriculum.

Audition Process

The audition is not required for university or Music-major admission

It is used for music scholarship consideration

Audition Expectations

Submit a live, one-camera, unedited video through Acceptd or schedule an in-person audition

In-person audition times are assigned after the applicant selects a date

Post-Enrollment

The audition also supports applied-music lesson placement

Students who do not complete the audition enroll in MUP 170

SOU Music awards more than $160,000 in music scholarships annually

Awards are based on a live or recorded scholarship audition

The Acceptd portal now lists a Fall 2027 priority deadline of March 1, 2027 (scholarship auditions received after that date are considered through April 15, based on fund availability); the audition track is still listed as not currently open
