Voice Audition (Bachelor of Arts)
•Bullet: Prepare 2 memorized pieces in contrasting styles and tempos
•Bullet: One selection must be classical repertoire in English, French, Italian, or German
•Bullet: Second selection may be classical, musical theater, jazz, popular music, or a hymn arrangement for solo voice
•Bullet: Worship choruses, congregational hymn arrangements, and improvisation are not accepted for the BA second selection
Vocal Applicant Notes
•Bullet: All selections must be memorized
•Bullet: In-person applicants must email music@seu.edu at least 2 weeks before the audition date if they need an accompanist or will provide their own
•Bullet: Applicants should be poised and professionally dressed
•Bullet: Accompaniment tracks must be cued, clear quality, and in the correct key
