•Applied study with internationally active brass faculty: trumpet soloist Rex Richardson, French hornist JD Shaw (former creative director/co-owner of Boston Brass), trombonist Michael Wilkinson, and tubist Ronald Davis (principal tuba, South Carolina Philharmonic), who coordinates the brass division
•Half and full solo recitals required on the primary instrument; BM through DMA offered in the brass area
Performance & Productions
•Brass-specific chamber ensembles including the Trumpet Ensemble, The Carolina Trombone Collective, and brass quintets, plus the USC Symphony Orchestra and wind bands
