Departmental Scholarships
•Bullet: Scholarships range from $350 to $2,000 per semester for voice, keyboard, and instrumental areas
•Bullet: Require audition and are renewable with 2.75+ GPA, 15 credit hours, and ensemble participation
•Bullet: Must complete 30 earned credit hours per year to renew
Named Awards
•Bullet: John W. Laidlaw Scholar Awards: $2,500-$5,500 annually for outstanding students across all music areas (3.0+ GPA required)
•Bullet: John W. Laidlaw Endowed Scholarship in Music: $750-$2,000/year for music majors (3.0+ GPA, audition-based)
•Bullet: Harper Endowed Scholarship in Music: $500-$1,000/year for incoming freshmen or upper-level music majors
•Bullet: Presser Undergraduate Scholar Award: tuition scholarship for a rising senior music major
Eligibility
•Bullet: Both music majors and non-majors are eligible for departmental scholarships pending a successful audition
•Bullet: Priority scholarship consideration for auditions completed by April 4, 2026
