Departmental Scholarships
•Scholarships range from $350 to $2,000 per semester for voice students
•Require audition and are renewable with 2.75+ GPA, 15 credit hours, and ensemble participation
•Must complete 30 earned credit hours per year to renew
Named Vocal Awards
•Rose Palmai-Tenser Endowed Vocal Scholarship: $500-$750/year for junior vocal students demonstrating vocal excellence
•John W. Laidlaw Scholar Awards: $2,500-$5,500 annually for outstanding students across all music areas (3.0+ GPA required)
•John W. Laidlaw Endowed Scholarship in Music: $750-$2,000/year for music majors (3.0+ GPA, audition-based)
•Harper Endowed Scholarship in Music: $500-$1,000/year for incoming freshmen or upper-level music majors
•Presser Undergraduate Scholar Award: Tuition scholarship for a rising senior music major
Eligibility
•Both music majors and non-majors eligible for departmental scholarships pending successful audition
•Priority scholarship consideration for auditions completed by April 4, 2026
