Training
•Instrumental performers complete a commercial-music core in theory, aural skills, history, keyboard, arranging, improvisation, songwriting, and solo and ensemble performance.
•Advisement options include chamber music, jazz improvisation, commercial arranging, advanced conducting, and live sound work.
Performance & Productions
•The four-year curriculum includes eight credits of private lessons, eight credits of ensembles, a senior recital, and a capstone.
•Students gain practical experience in live concert production and commercial performance styles.
Professional Development
•Business law, accounting, economics, management, and music-business courses prepare performers for entrepreneurial careers.
Facilities
•The Eccles Center for the Performing Arts houses the Horne School of Music; Snow is an All-Steinway School and a NASM-accredited member.
Degree Flexibility
•Additional music education coursework can lead to K-12 certification through the Weber State University partnership.
