•Bullet: Conservatory-style technique in a research university: coursework centers on ballet, modern, and jazz, all three required of first-years and sophomores

Performance & Productions
•Bullet: Division mounts full main-stage concerts in the Bob Hope Theatre, plus student-choreographed DanceWorks shows in the Owen Arts Center's Gene and Jerry Jones Grand Atrium and noontime Brown Bag performances
•Bullet: "Meadows at the Winspear" concerts pair dancers with the Meadows Symphony in the Dallas Arts District

•Bullet: Charles S. Sharp Studio (grand piano, theatrical lighting and sound) and the mirrorless experimental Studio 1430; all dance studios have sprung floors and HD video systems

Degree Flexibility
•Bullet: Admission requires acceptance to both SMU and the Division of Dance by audition; pairs the conservatory training with any SMU major (about 40% of Meadows students double major)
