•Horn: a two-octave chromatic scale in G or F
•Other brass: technical facility is demonstrated through the prepared selections and etudes
Repertoire List
•Two selections or movements that contrast in tempo and style, one of which may be a representative etude
•Trombone and euphonium prepare a Rochut melodious etude plus a slow and a fast movement
•Tuba prepares standard solo literature (e.g. Bach-Bell, Beethoven-Bell, Hartley)
•Repertoire list: suggested concerto and solo literature is published per instrument (horn, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba)
•Prepare approximately 10 minutes of music; entire pieces are not required

•Accompaniment: a staff pianist is provided for the audition
•Bring sheet music for every selection
