The School of Music contacts applicants in late December or early January about audition scheduling

Enrollment

The Music Technology major may be declared from the first year

Admission to individual studio-arts instruction follows completion of the published first-year courses and a later portfolio review; that portfolio is not part of initial university admission

Audition Process

Admission to the BA Music Technology program requires a School of Music audition on the applicant's primary instrument or voice

Music Technology faculty also interview applicants to assess musicianship and readiness for the technology curriculum

On-campus auditions are recommended when possible; video audition submissions are accepted when the next cycle opens

Ensemble placement auditions after admission are separate from the entrance audition

Any student who auditions for the School of Music and Dance is automatically considered for a scholarship

The school provides more than $400,000 in scholarship assistance each year

Undergraduate awards range from small awards to full tuition
