Training
•Cinema Production and Studies joins making, history and theory inside the BA's 18-credit foundation and 48-credit major. Production coursework moves through camera, lighting and sound tests, storyboards, direction, cinematography, location recording and high-definition postproduction while critical study examines how films create meaning.
Performance & Productions
•Students develop completed screen work through crew-based assignments and advanced projects, learning to move from planning through shooting and edit. The fourth-year curriculum includes portfolio or demo-reel development that gathers the strongest work for review.
Professional Development
•Big Muddy Crew and Movie Camera Movement add peer production activity; WSIU, internships, the Big Muddy Film Festival and study-abroad options connect coursework with public media settings.
Facilities
•Resources include video and audio postproduction, equipment checkout, multipurpose production space, Emerging Media Studios, analog-media facilities, animation and game labs, and Adobe tools.
