Professional actor training program preparing students for the professional theatre world

PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES

First-year students are required to audition for mainstage shows
Opera Theatre and Musical Theatre each produce two major works per academic year
Extensive mock auditions held throughout the year to refine auditioning skills

CURRICULUM

8 semesters of dance training
Private weekly voice lesson with a Music Department faculty member
Coursework includes Acting, Stage Movement, Voice for the Actor, Audition Techniques, Diction, Ear Training, Theory, and Musical Theatre History

PROFESSIONAL NETWORKING

All BFA performance majors audition at the Georgia Theatre Conference (GTC) and the Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC), the largest multi-theatre audition in the nation
Numerous guest directors and guest artists for master classes throughout the year
