Songs

Two Standard Art Songs

•Sing two standard English, Italian, French, or German art songs from memory

•English may substitute for any foreign language

Accompaniment

•Vocal students must perform with piano accompaniment

•Students may not accompany themselves

•No track/CD accompaniment when Shorter provides an accompanist

Additional Materials

Repertoire List

•List audition pieces in the music audition application, including composer/arranger

•Music must be memorized for vocal auditions

Sheet Music

•Email sheet music for each selection to audition@groups.shorter.edu if Shorter will provide the pianist

Transcript

•Transcripts must be on file before the audition/interview

•SAT/ACT scores must be on file before the audition/interview when required by Shorter
