PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES
•First-year students are required to audition for mainstage shows
•Opera Theatre and Musical Theatre each produce two major works per academic year

•8 semesters of dance training
•Private weekly voice lesson with a Music Department faculty member
•Coursework includes Acting, Stage Movement, Voice for the Actor, Audition Techniques, Diction, Ear Training, Theory, and Musical Theatre History

•Numerous guest directors and guest artists for master classes throughout the year

•Must use musical accompaniment — no a cappella

•Prepare a monologue from a published play
•Should demonstrate range and emotional depth

•A group dance audition is part of the audition process
•Wear appropriate dance attire and footwear

REGIONAL AUDITIONS
•BFA students are required to audition at the Georgia Theatre Conference (GTC) in the fall
•GTC screens students for the Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC) in the spring
•SETC is the largest multi-theatre audition in the nation
