Repertoire List
•Repertoire list: prepare two works in contrasting styles that demonstrate technical ability and overall musicianship
•Repertoire list for voice: one selection from the classical Western canon and one selection in any genre or style; both selections are memorized and performed with live accompaniment
•Repertoire list for piano: scales, arpeggios, cadences, and two contrasting pieces from different eras
•Repertoire list for organ and guitar: two contrasting works or style-period selections, plus any scales/studies listed for the instrument
•Repertoire list for strings, winds, and brass: instrument-specific scales plus solo, etude, or movement requirements from Shepherd's audition list
•Repertoire list for percussion: demonstrate more than one instrument (snare, set, marimba); prepare scales/rudiments and two solo options from snare, timpani, and marimba
•Repertoire list for jazz emphasis: applicants may be asked to demonstrate different styles and improvise over a blues pattern
