•Special-topics electives rotate yearly and have included Ghosts and the Supernatural in Contemporary Cinema, Sound Art, Magic and Cinema, and The Art of Activism Today
•Lower-division coursework grounds students in the histories and theories of visual art, performance, and cinema before third- and fourth-year stream specialization
Professional Development
•A popular internship course places students at local arts organizations for hands-on training in arts management, communications, and archiving
•Student and alumni essays are collected in the recurring APCS Catalogues, and the program feeds directly into SCA's own MA in Contemporary Arts
Study Abroad
•APCS students regularly participate in Field Schools offered in Berlin and London, two of Europe's major art capitals
