60-90 Seconds of Choreography in Your Strongest Dance Style
•Ballet, jazz, contemporary, African, East Indian, Brazilian, or another style
•Stick to vocabulary and steps you know well and can execute confidently
•All choreography must be performed to music (no a cappella dance)
•Choreography should be story-driven, expressing a goal or objective
•Must include at least one turn, one jump, and one kick (or suitable rotation, elevation, extension)
Optional Ballet
•Highly recommended: show your best ballet technique
•Include plie, tendu, grande battement, pirouette en dehors (both sides), and grand jete
•Music optional for ballet portion
Filming (for Recorded Auditions)
•Film in full-body shot with entire body visible at all times
•Dance studio, black box, or rehearsal hall preferred; limited space acceptable
