Training
•Bullet: Musical theatre training taught by Broadway professionals, with the flexibility of taking classes within the School of Theatre, Television, and Film and throughout the university
•Bullet: Required courses include Musical Theatre Performance I–IV and Practicum in Performance (running crew, and cast member in a main season production or equivalent faculty-led experience)
•Bullet: Musical Theatre majors participate in Musical Theatre auditions each semester, attend callbacks, and perform as cast in Department productions
•Bullet: Undergraduate performance majors are taught by the faculty and mentored by professional actors studying for their graduate degrees in SDSU's MFA Musical Theatre program
Professional Development
•Bullet: Disney casting directors held a day-long workshop and audition on campus in February 2025 for BA Musical Theatre and BFA Dance students, with an information session on Disney performing opportunities (sdsu.edu news, February 2025)
