•Short 6-7 credit Certificate of Completion completable in two semesters or less; requires a grade of C or better in every course
•Core sequence is Introduction to Technical Theatre (THP213) and Safety Practices in Theatre and Film Production (THO251), plus a Theatre Production course in the scene or costume shop
•Trains students to interpret stage directions to industry specifications, follow shop/rigging/lighting safety protocols, and operate basic lighting and audio equipment

•Crew experience earned on live mainstage and black-box productions through SCC's School of Film + Theatre
Professional Development
•Entry point into the broader Technical Theatre certificate (eight specialization tracks plus a portfolio course); targets Audio/Video Technician roles (AZ avg ~$52,900, ~1,790 projected openings)

•Work in the Performing Arts Center's scene shop and backstage spaces alongside the mainstage theatre and black-box classroom
