PROGRAM RECOGNITION
•Interdisciplinary BA program — no audition required for admission; all admitted students may study theatre
•Average class size of 12 students across the college
•Curriculum spans acting, directing, design, management, writing, technology, producing, voice, movement, and more
•Students create an individualized 'Theatre Third' with guidance from their don and theatre faculty
•Courses taught by working professionals, with additional courses available in music and dance programs
•Theatre and Civic Engagement program uses writing, theatre techniques, music, and visual arts to address social and community issues — a vibrant curriculum component for more than three decades
•Students can earn credits from internships or fieldwork at New York City theatres and theatre organizations

•Theatre Program Season features student-written and student-created work as a primary focus, alongside published plays and classical texts
•Proposal system for student-directed, -written, and -devised work within the production schedule
•DownStage student-run theatre company provides additional production opportunities
•Auditions for faculty-, student-, and guest-directed productions are open to the entire SLC community
