Training
•Bullet: 14-unit certificate requires 9 units of core technique (Ballet I & II, Jazz Dance I & II, and Modern Dance I & II) plus at least 5 elective units chosen from Survey of Dance History, Contemporary, Tap, Hip Hop/Funk, Dance Production, Repertory, Improvisation, African Diaspora Dance, or Latin Dance
•Bullet: Serves as the entry-level technique credential ahead of the department's Choreography and Performance certificate or the AA Dance degree

•Bullet: Graduates demonstrate achievement in modern, jazz, and ballet technique and are positioned for entry-level work as dance instructors, choreographers, or performers
•Bullet: Students train within the same department that hosts the SRJC Touring Dance Company
