Audition Process
•No audition required for program admission - open-access pre-major
•Audition is for Fine Arts Scholarship consideration only
•Submit scholarship materials by May 22, 2026
•Email materials to claire.orenduff@sfcollege.edu and david.smith2@sfcollege.edu
•Vocalists, instrumentalists, and pianists audition on Thursday, June 4, 2026
•Final interview with the Fine Arts Chair required
Audition Expectations
•Vocalists: prepare two classical pieces of contrasting styles, with at least one in English
•Instrumentalists: prepare two contrasting Jazz and/or Classical pieces
-Jazz selections may be Medium Swing, Latin, Blues, or Ballad; improvisation optional
-Classical selections should show technical and lyrical performance ability
•Pianists: prepare two complete pieces or movements from contrasting periods, played from memory
•Bring six copies of any sheet music or lead sheets used
•Check-in is 9:00-9:30 AM at E-Lyceum Auditorium; auditions and faculty interviews run 9:30-11:30 AM
•Practice rooms will be available
