•Liberal arts approach to theatre as a means to inspire humanity and engage a diverse society
•Focus on classical and contemporary theatrical storytelling in the context of cultural diversity
•Emphasis on playmaking, empathy, critical analysis, creative problem-solving, and changemaking
•Curriculum covers acting, design, script analysis, and technical theatre (44-46 units for major)
•Theatre minor also available (22-24 units)

Performance & Productions
•Students of all majors can audition for department productions

•Recent productions include Spring Awakening and Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992
•Backstage roles available: stage manager, lighting operator, dresser, sound operator, stagehand
•Students can assist professional designers in scenic, costume, and lighting design
