•Bullet: Four-semester Music Theory and Musicianship sequence (MUS 101-202) paired with a required history course spanning genres from jazz and hip hop to medieval-through-contemporary literature
•Bullet: Four semesters of Applied Music lessons plus four semesters of ensemble participation, chosen from Mixed Chorus, Chamber Singers, College Singers, Concert Choir, Gospel Choir, Commercial Music Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Jazz Combo, Jazz Band, or Instrumental Chamber Music
•Bullet: A required pathway track in Commercial Music, Instrumental, Jazz, or Vocal studies adds genre-specific coursework such as Songwriting, Electronic Music, Jazz Improvisation, or applied voice and piano
Degree Flexibility
•Bullet: AA in Music (27-37 units) built for students continuing into music education, performance, commercial music/industry, or jazz studies at a four-year institution
•Bullet: A companion AA-T pathway is also offered for students seeking guaranteed CSU transfer admission in the same major
