TRAINING
•Eight semesters of one-on-one applied voice lessons with Vocal Coordinator Dr. John Wesley Wright
•Comprehensive study of music theory, history, conducting, vocal diction, and musicians' health and wellness
•Junior half-recital and senior full-recital culminating experiences
•Two semesters of Lyric Diction (Italian, French, German, English)
•Dr. John Wesley Wright, operatic tenor with international awards, performed for Belgian Royal Family and Kennedy family
•Strong track record coaching students to first-place finishes at NATS
PERFORMANCE & PRODUCTIONS
•Musical Theatre Workshop and Opera Workshop annually
•NATS student auditions (all nine SU participants advanced to Mid-Atlantic Regional level in 2018)
•University Chorale, Chamber Choir, Jazz Ensemble, and other ensemble opportunities
