Audition Process
•Bullet: All prospective music majors must audition to be considered for entrance into the BA Music degree program
•Bullet: In-person auditions are strongly recommended and recorded by the Music and Dance department
•Bullet: Alternative audition arrangements require department chair approval and include a solo performance recording, application letter, and telephone interview
•Bullet: Applicants receive an approved, provisional, or not approved rating

•Bullet: Reserve an audition time at least two weeks before the desired audition date
Audition Expectations
•Bullet: Perform two musical selections of contrasting style that display technical proficiency and musicality
•Bullet: Perform scales and sight-read
•Bullet: Complete a music theory placement exam
•Bullet: Participate in a brief personal interview
