Optional audition for scholarship consideration - not required for program admission.

Video

•Record a video (max 10 minutes) performing one piece that represents your current ability

•Instrumentalists: any solo, excerpt, or piece you feel confident playing

•Vocalists: any song (classical, musical theatre, pop, jazz, etc.), memorization encouraged but not required

•Pianists: any solo piano work you feel comfortable performing

•Send via unlisted YouTube link (Google Drive or Dropbox also accepted)

•Apply to Saint Mary's College via Common App

•Use fee waiver code ApplySMC for free application

Scholarship Application

•Scholarship applications open in October, priority deadline November 15

•Applications accepted through January 1 if audition slots remain

•Must be accepted to Saint Mary's before the audition date

•Email video to musicscholarships@stmarys-ca.edu

•Only one Performing Arts scholarship awarded per student, but students may audition for multiple programs

•No audition is required for admission to the Music program

•Admission is via Common App only

Scholarship Audition

•$5,000/year Performing Arts Scholarship available to incoming first-year students

•Phase 1: Record a video (max 10 minutes) performing one piece that represents your current ability

•Phase 2: If selected, live or virtual audition by invitation, including performing music and a faculty conversation

•Scholarship auditions typically held in January

•Results announced by mid-February
