Repertoire

•Prepare a solo or etude on two different instruments

•One prepared instrument must be a keyboard instrument

•Drum set is optional; if included, be prepared to demonstrate several beats and feels such as medium swing, funk, or rock

•Department application required in addition to university application

Musical Theatre Minor

•Musical Theatre Minor for Music Majors available (21 credits)

•Combines vocal training with Theatre courses in acting and dance

Transfer Pathway

SVSU's Department of Music publishes a Mott Community College articulation agreement and equivalency support for transfer students. BA Music transfers should work with the music advisor or department chair to apply prior credits to the degree plan.
