•Housed in Mason Gross's Dance Department, an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Dance (NASD) since 1992.
Training
•41-credit BA in Dance for students enrolled across Rutgers (Arts and Sciences, SEBS, etc.) seeking dance specialization alongside a liberal-arts degree — no audition required to enter.
•Coursework spans modern, ballet, and jazz technique, somatics, improvisation, choreography, production, dance history, kinesiology, rhythm, and Laban Movement Analysis.
•Electives reach beyond the studio core into Street and Club dances and Latin and Hispanic dance forms.
•To declare, students complete 6 dance technique credits with a C or better and hold a 2.5 GPA.
Performance & Productions
•BA dancers perform in department productions at the Victoria J. Mastrobuono Theater, Loree Dance Theater, and the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center.
•University DanceWorks, the student touring company, performs repertory and leads workshops in regional schools.
Professional Development
•Graduates move into performance, choreography, arts administration, lighting design, stage management, Pilates/yoga instruction, dance scholarship, and physical therapy.

•Built for double majors and cross-school students who want full dance training without committing to the conservatory BFA track.
