Audition Process
•Upload audition materials through the Applicant Status Portal in the Digital Submission section by the deadline
•Students may request a one-on-one audition by contacting Audition Coordinator Angelique Gonzalez at gonzaleza@rowan.edu
What to Prepare by Area
•Piano (Performance track): one major and one minor scale with arpeggios (four octaves, hands together); one fast movement of a Beethoven (excluding Op. 49), Haydn, or Mozart sonata (excluding K. 545); an advanced work by Chopin, Schumann, Brahms, or Liszt; and a Prelude and Fugue from Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier, Book I or II
•Organ: one study (e.g. a Bach Orgelbuchlein chorale prelude or equivalent), three solos from the standard organ repertoire (e.g. Bach, Mendelssohn, Vierne), and a sight-read homophonic four-part passage of 8–16 measures
•Piano applicants submit their intended audition program to the keyboard faculty ahead of the audition date
